New Web Graphics for Zoom Terre
Web Graphics are an essential part of Advertising when it comes to Commercial Websites. Their purpose is to attract, guide towards the hotspots, special promotions, new products etc, complement, brand and integrate harmoniously with the overall concept of the blog, website or, as in this case, online newspaper.
The “new look” of “Zoom Terre” is tremendously successful - online as well as offline in the form of business cards and bumber stickers - and as Laetitia Paris just reported, it now occupies 9/10 positions on Google page 1 - the ultimate result! WOW! Just what the whole world is wanting, I mean those who brought their business, product or service to the Internet and are looking to expand their customer base or keep the existing clients happy, in-the-loop, up-to-date and . . . satisfied.
What counts is to always have a professional approach - do what you’re good at and outsource issues others are better at… to save time and money and lots of frustrations!
Example Web Graphics
It’s always important to come back after a while with ‘new eyes’, see where it all started and look for ways to improve…:

Laetitia designed her website which has a great title and includes her “butterfly” signet plus the idea of planet earth as a focus - to be zoomed in on . . . but where is the Passion she has for Nature, Action, Volcanoes, Photography and her Dream to, one day, visit Africa… South Africa in particular?
Just for the fun of it and as Laetitia is one of the most reliable, cooperative and generous members of our YORGOO Team I know, I took it further based on some Digital Artwork I had done and which I integrated while keeping strictly focused on what was important for ZOOM TERRE, which took us here :
Laetitia was over the moon with it, inserted all the various links I had prepared for her - for banners, ads, pictures etc - and wrote a beautiful article HERE (in French). Of course, changing the look meant also changing the colour of her fonts as there is not much green in red hot lava :)
There was just one point I wasn’t too satisfied with right away: that video at the top. I mean keeping it. Firstly, there is a minor alignment issue which can be easily solved, but most importantly, it’s just not ideal there; it interferes with the composition of the page and the way the visitor should be guided onto the page - and not away from it.
Today, I just designed a full header version with a little twist and let’s see what the difference looks like once Laetitia has discovered and inserted it, here’s the small verson sneak preview… and hopefully we can see the original version soon on “Zoom Terre” :
I feel it’s a better way to illustrate and enhance the meaning and significance of Laetitia’s theme within the picture, by the picture itself - and it’s dynamic. It’s not a movie zoom though… just done with simple tools!
Fazit:
Be encouraged to learn and improve your skills on an ongoing basis… becoming a little better each time.
